Another Kings Chop Shop Introduction, and this one has been a saga!
Starting out life as a 2019 M8 Harley Davidson Breakout, this bike has worn a few coats of paint on its journey, with the scars of turquoise and air brushing giving way to the inspiration from BMWs Isle of Man Green, with @livinlocogarage delivering the flawless quality he’s known for.
With the Harley Fatboy tank, smoothed out and console deleted, the original plan for a black out design fell away to reveal chrome on chrome.
A 26” SMT ASTRO 3D HARLEY CHROME WHEEL up front and the same in an 18” on the rear, both wrapped with Avon Cobra Chrome’s. You can’t do wheels on a bike like this and still run the stock pulley so this was also matched giving that complete look, and making it near impossible for the photographer to keep himself out of the reflections…
In order to fit the 26” wheel the bike has been fitted with a DGD 6 degree rake and fork sleeves give that smooth look to the front end.
As with all bad ideas, while the tank was off the bike, a “discussion” ensued… which resulted in an Alpha Performance Engines 128ci High Comp Engine, coupled with CNC machine heads and an S&S Cycle performance manifold. I mean, the tank was already off! How could you not? This little package puts out a healthy 150+ HP and increases throttle response to give you that snappy snap feel at pretty much any rev range.
All of this breathes through the Rinehart Racing Moto Series air cleaner and exhausting out of the Freedom Performance Radical Radius giving a nice loud thump at idle and a full screaming leaf blower at RPM. The downward facing pipes leave a wicked dust trail as she rides past.
Stopping power was increased with the new HHI Chrome calipers. The rear caliper relocated to the top of the swing arm to allow the larger caliper fitment and paired with the Arlen Ness Jagged disc rear with the Arlen Ness Big Brake conversion up front.
The power is put to the ground through the Rekluse Hydro clutch conversion, completely internal in those Burleigh 2” bars, upgraded compensator and billet basket.
Front and rear air ride are assisted with the King Chop Shop tank system allowing for fast up while the tank fits seamlessly under the Radical Radius. This bike really is the complete package!
